Become a Mentee

Become a Mentee in 3 Easy Steps

Think about what you want to gain from a 6-month formal mentoring program. Here are a few of questions mentees can ask themselves.

  • What are some of the skills I’d like to learn in order to expand my career opportunities?
  • What do my long-term goals and desired career development?
  • How do my short-term opportunities set up my long-term career goals?
  • Where do I want to grow and develop?
  • How do I impact myself, my team and my company and what do I want that to look like?
  • What skills can I benefit from learning in order to accomplish goals and personal and professional growth?

Step 1

Utilize the questions above to identify goals and ideas around what you'd like to gain from the formal mentoring program.

Step 2

Search our extensive Mentoring Gallery for 3 mentors that will be a good fit for the things you’d like to explore.

Step 3

Fill out our mentee application below, where you will include your mentor choices.*

Once you complete the last step you will be taken into your HBA account to make your payment for the mentoring program. Mentees receive 6 months of one-on-one mentoring from an industry expert.

$150 for HBA, PWB and YLC members

You MUST be a member of the HBA to participate.

*You may be matched with one of your choices, or we may go outside of your choices if we think there’s a better match based on your goals.

The Mentoring Committee meets the first Wednesday of each month to make matches. You will receive information after signing up and we will keep you posted on the latest developments with our matching process.
