Megan Hawks has over 5 years of experience in the Denver Homebuilding Industry. She has spent the majority of that time working for KB Home in land acquisition and has been promoted twice since starting at the company as an analyst in 2021.

Megan graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and the Built Environment with a concentration in Property Development and a minor in finance. While at DU, Megan participated in the NAHB Production Homebuilding Student Competition 3 times. This competition opened the door into a career in Land Acquisition, which has been her niche within homebuilding since graduating. Megan now mentors the undergraduate and graduate NAHB teams at DU each year and is also actively involved in the HBA as both a board member of the Young Leaders Council (YLC) and the Professional Women in Building Council (PWB).

Megan is someone who enjoys thinking about the practical steps you can take to reach your goals (both personal and professional). She enjoys asking questions to understand the ‘why’ behind the decisions we make and would love to work with you through challenges you may be facing in your career and help you identify the path forward. Mentorship and friendship have both played a big role in her success in this industry and she is passionate about giving back and making the industry more approachable to new faces.

Outside of work, Megan is a wife and dog mom to three pups (two goldens, one border collie). She loves to cook and host family and friends for meals and also enjoys weightlifting and playing tennis.
